Getting a child to breath in a Compact Compressor

Basically a Compact Compressor is something your child uses when she is sick. Specifically when she has a virus in her lungs and has little trouble breathing. Basically it creastes a mist and the mist has some medicine in it which clears the lungs so your daughter can breath better. To enhale the mist your daughter puts a little plastic mask over her mouth and nose so she can breathe it in through her mouth and nose.

Well the first time I tried to get my 2 year old daughter to do it she did not want to do it. I then told her if she does not use the mask, I will give her a time out. She then ran to her mom. Her mom then correctly said to me, you are going to make it a chore and she will never want to do it. Why don't you make it a game?

That is exactly what I did next. I grabbed a pretend mask which was just a big bowl and put itover my face. I then asked my daughter to put her mask on which she did. We then played a game of counting up to ten slowly while wearing the masks. Before pronouncing each number we would take a deep breath and then slowly annuciate the number. This way my daughted breathed in the mist before annuciating each number. Even after she was done breathing in all her medicine she wanted to keep going!

Remember there is always a better way and the gentler apporach is usually the best approach!

Getting in your workout

The last few times I have tried to punch the heavy bag when I have been watching my daughter in the basement my daughter has interpetted my toutine after one or two punches. She gets bored which I understand and wants me to play with her which I always do. Well what I di the last time is drive her around in her little tike car and then pulled her up a safe distance from the heavy bag and asked her to decide if dad should punch or kick and how many times I should do it. Well this approach worked great. She would say 8 kicks dad and then I would kick 8 times in a row and count each one off with her joining in. I did this for a good 10 minutes and got in a good work out. I realized by getting her engaged I could get my work out in and keep her happy and work on her counting!

Avatar The movie is awesome. So what if it is a little simplistic. Do not anys review dissuade you from seeing it! The message of the movie is very powerful. It is almost spiritual. It gets the message across clearly to be happy you must do the right thing. Only that will guarantee your spirit eternal happiness and peace regardless of what typre of body human or otherwsie your spirit is temporarily contained

This move has inspired me to get a tattoo some day. It is that profound. It makes you want to be alive and really want to always see the righteous win. The true righteous! The ones who are pure of heart such as a Mother Theresa or Ghandi. So It may not be the first tattoo but some day I am simply going to tattoo on my arm some inspiration whose seed started the night I saw Avatar. God bless mankind and all my spiritual brothers who believe in righteousness for the pure of heart regardless of what race, sex or sentient type of being they are.

The Perfect Poem Part 1

My goal is to publish my story about this guy who has a major goal in his life to write the perfect poem. He thinks if he finds the perfect poem it could somehow make a difference on the world. He has many rules that must be met before he will allow it to be claimed to be the perfect poem.


Rule #1 - If it meets all the other rules to be a Perfect Poem and if it is a quote, that quote will serve as a standby until the perfect poem is found.


He came up with rule #1 because he realized the prose he wrote that night was more a quote then a poem.


Rule #2 - The poem must be memorable and be impactful. It must make mankind better.



The quote he thought of that night was as follows.



"The door to happiness is opened with the key of honesty."



He knows this was a powerful quote because his arms were week when he thought of it and when it first entered his head he did not have a pen.

You see this was a good quote because, he knows he has the possibility of finding the perfect poem whenever he feels weakness in his arms; because, he knows there is a chance that a crystallized thought that may be the basis to the perfect poem may escape his brain before his fingers can type it down.


This emotion may be better explained by a poem he wrote in the past as follows:



I must always create

If I stop even for a moment

A unique thought may be lost forever

This is my tormented fate




So this blog experiment started a few hours ago on October 31st because I posted on facebook and twitter the quote mentioned above. If this quote is followed on facebook by many it must be impactful. However, it may get lost in all the other banter on facebook. This alone will not stop the quote from not meeting rule 2.


I also posted tjis quote on twitter because this quote is perfect to my spirit because I sense it should be impactful on others but if it is not that is okay. You see I get satisfaction enough from writing my prose but also know I will never get the adulation I crave until I find the perfect poem.

Rule #3
This poem takes those who read it one step closer to finding the path to a peaceful spirit.

"When a good friend leaves for the night
A part of your spirit leaves with them
To be restored once again on your next meeting."

The rest of this blog is about what he was thinking when he was inspired to write the thought for the poem posted immediately above in this blog.

Well he was at a bar with some good friends for one of their wife's 40th birthday and one of his good friends he only sees on rare occasions was leaving and he felt a little sadness in his heart to see his good friend depart. However, he also felt very happy because his friend leaving inspired a strong urge to find a pen to write his inspiration for the poem above.


Feeling your fingers pulsate because you feel a good poem that is bursting out of your spirit is one of the most euphoric feelings on earth.

Yo I have only a few minutes to express my thoughts.

The new Testament is the perfect book that I commit to model my life after with a little sprinkling of the Koran and the old Testament and all other great books from other religions that at there core have love as the most important emotion.

Specifically, I will alway strive to turn the other cheek until you mess with my family then you will know my vengeance.

This is the first of many blogs.

I am in the middle of watching a great movie. One of those movies you see maybe once a year like Stars Wars, Dead Poets Society or Lord of The Rings. This time I paused it to get a drink and before going back to watch the rest, I stopped to realize this is great art, I am moved by this movie. This movie in a little over two hours has made me care what happens to these fictional characters. This time, I decided I will not waste this fleeting moment, but instead I will capture this moment by first writing a blog to catch and lock in this feeling of euphoria so I have a reference point to go back to the rest of my life because this is what life is about. It is about creating something that moves others in positive ways. Instead of always thinking this once a year at the end of a great movie created by another artist and then being lazy and doing nothing about it. I decided this time I will put my stake in the sand of life and make a difference from here on out in some way. So please do the same when you hit on that one great movie this year pause it or if you are in the movie theater bite your lip hard enough so you penetrate skin so you don't let the precious moment pass where you realize you will let the greatness of another make a difference in your life. This time instead of letting the moment pass do something about it.

I must go back now and enjoy the rest of Gran Torino. God Bless until we speak again.
